At the 2013 London Design Festival this month, the iconic house of Moooi exerted a dynamic presence by inviting visitors to experience the Unexpected Welcome event at their west London showroom in Harrow Road. Displayed in imaginative room-like settings, the familiar much loved Moooi classics created by the leading names in international design, were shown alongside new innovative pieces which had been created especially for the collection.

Accompanying the Moooi pieces were the huge emotive photographs by the Dutch artist Levi van Veluw and the beautiful mannequins of Hans Boodt. The wildly colorful and richly imaginative interiors held a variety of designs with something to suit any space.

In collaboration with Tom Dixon, founder of The Dock, Moooi participated in product launches, a pop-up marketplace and more. Earlier this year, the Moooi collection was shown in an industrial setting in Milan, however, within the inventive showroom spaces, the designs perfectly exhibit the collective genius of designers including Marcel Wanders, Neri&Hu, Studio Job and Bertjan Pot, just to mention a few of the participants of this event which ran from September 11th - 22nd 2013.
