HIT Gallery is a new concept store in Hong Kong, the first in a planned global chain of multi-brand stores by the Italian retail group, Ittierre. The inspiration for the contemporary design by Fabio Novembre is the surrealistic art of Greek born Italian artist, Giorgio De Chirico

The space is a modern take on classic Italian architecture with perfect symmetry in the curvatures of the walls lined with elegant arches. The twin bust shaped display stands refer to the faceless figures which often appear in the art of Chirico. The striking zig-zag floor design adds a new perspective to the interior, a dynamic which is quite disorienting.

The palest of blues form the color palette of the walls and arches and form a neutral background on which to display the brands without distraction. As a whole, the entire concept is that of an Italian Piazza, and a space which the owners hope ‘will capture the spirit of Italy in wonderful new ways’.
