Fashion designer Vika Gazinskaya has been born and raised in Moscow, the same place where she is now basing her fashion house. Vika Gazinskaya collections are internationally renowned and rooted in the highly personal aesthetics of its creator. She introduced her eponymous ready-to-wear collection in 2007 and has become a fashion darling ever since. At first due to her own eclectic style which made her stand out and noticeable by fashion photographers and later on due to the international fashion editors who were being photographed in Gazinskaya’s creations outside the shows during Fashion Weeks.
For Fall/Winter 2013-14 Vika Gazinskaya’s whimsical designs carried faux-fur elements and exaggerated silhouettes that were almost cartoon like, with magnified details; such as extended sleeves, or a backbone of bows on the back of a blouse. Nevertheless it was the least witty creations and those that had the feel of normality that were Gazinskaya's strongest pieces.
