Masks in brightly coloured hues, was the direction of Petrou's artistic dabbling with the visage. A palette of dusted colours in the shape of navy, blue, purple and rose formed the basis for the clothing canvas.

Veering between an athletic inclination and an inherent classic tailored approached to menswear. Patchwork squares in check and watercolour prints besieged blazers and jogging pants shaped trousers in wool and corduroy. Folklore and the nod to handcrafts was central to the collection furthered through a print alluding to tapestry in a counterculture-esque interpretation of purple blazers and jackets.

This era was delved into further in the shoes which appeared hand painted. Multi-pocket shirts created a utility note while the gluttony of badges upon one shirt insisted that this wearer had surpassed his scout leader role.

Nicolas Petrou graduated in 1993 with a Master of Arts degree in fashion design  from Central Saint Martin's School in London. He has been designing for various companies in New York including his own name with a store on Madison Avenue.
