For his new collection, entitled ‘Hold Yer Head Up’, Christopher Shannon continued to explore his casual informed silhouettes. The photo journalism of Pieter Hugo and the documentary shots of Sirkka-Liisa Konttinen and David Attenborough's Human Planet were key references for Shannon, who explored the idea that wherever you are in the world sportswear is never far away.
Shannon’s work is not only about sportswear. It is more about a style of dress that the designer finds interesting and genuine. This season Shannon has successfully progressed his brand– utilising sportswear as a core and retaining interest though subtle changes of direction.
