A recent collaboration between the innovative design practice of Nendo and KOKUYO, a Japanese company which specializes in office furniture, resulted in the collection of modular furniture entitled ‘Brackets’.

The entire collection is composed of seven seating units and four tables which can be placed in a number of seating options. With 1.40m high backrests, the chairs are a fusion of lines and curves with the intention of hugging of ‘bracketing’ the body in the form of a parenthesis. This serves to provide an intimate space as the occupants are effectively ‘hidden’ and also reduced the element of noise in the office space.

Whether paired as loveseats, arranged as sofas or formed around a meeting table, the units are designed to satisfy every need in a contemporary office environment.
