Jean-Claude Biver, CEO of Hublot, and Pierre Keller, Director of ECAL, the Lausanne University of Art and Design, recently introduced the Hublot Luge, a limited edition of 10, state of the art sledge. The sledge was designed by Philippe-Albert Lefebvre, a MAS-Luxe student of ECAL 2009-10, based on an original concept by Arno Mathies, a MAS-Luxe student 2008-9, as part of a one year design program created by Pierre Keller.

Following the principles of fusion, a philosophy inherent in the brand, four very different materials have been used to create this piece of sports equipment. Ash wood for the body, hand crafted leather for the seat, carbon fiber for the handles and steel for the runners, all hand crafted to the highest level, were used in the construction.

Jean-Claude Biver and Pierre Keller are delighted with the exceptional design and usability of the sledge which will be on display at the Alpine World Ski Championships in Garmisch  Partenkirchen where Hublot is the Official Timekeeper.
