Located in the northern Athenian suburb of Ekali, Woodwing Villa is a stunning family residence which stands on a generous site surrounded by pine trees. It is a structure which fulfills the diverse needs of its occupants as a summer and winter home through its well planned indoor and outdoor spaces.

From the street facade, the three level home presents a private face with small slits and openings which permit sufficient natural light to enter but do not allow a view of the interior. The opposite is seen at the rear of the home where the extensive glazing of the ground floor opens up from a communal space which become one with the outdoor living area and the lush environment of its natural surroundings.

The upper levels are designed for each family members personal needs and are topped by a lightweight roof above a glazed panel which encircles the structure, allowing daylight to enter the entire interior. The material palette for the structure incorporates a series of natural materials which age well, Cedar and American Walnut cladding and a render of powdered brick interspersed with resilient exposed concrete and stone. The element of stone continues in the interior, a space furnished in the ageless style of a mixture of contemporary and classic pieces, some of which are hand crafted. An elegant residence, perfectly at home in its verdant surroundings, a home for all seasons!
