The TH house, located in the Tochigi Prefecture, Japan, is a single family residence designed by Tokyo based architects Baquerrata.

The design is based on the principle of modern Japanese architecture which involves the home being built around a large courtyard but the architects have taken it a step further in this instance. A series of small courtyards adjoining almost all rooms have been incorporated into this structure, mainly to extend the feeling of space within the building. Some of the courtyards resemble small gardens while others are tiled or finished in decking, adding diversity to the interior. Floor to ceiling windows with black steel surrounds frame the courtyards highlighting their presence in the interior design of the rooms.

The white concrete walls and skylights ensure that natural daylight enter this two storey home at all hours of the day.
