The Tampa Covenant Church in Florida was designed and built with the aim of renovating and incorporating two existing buildings into the design of the newly built church. This was achieved by the addition of an exterior courtyard which joined the buildings harmoniously. The work was undertaken in 2010 by Alphonso Architects at a cost of $2.600.000.

The entire design used the Fibonacci sequence - a sequence of numbers in which each number equals the sum of the preceding number - this system of design guarantees continuity and balance. Another feature was the incorporation of numbers of objects which have a religious or biblical significance.

In addition to the sanctuary and theological requirements of the building, administrative offices and classrooms were also incorporated into this 25.000sq.f.structure.

The project was completed by the redesign of the grounds of the church including parking, lighting and landscaping, finalising this commission and providing a modern environment with traditional values to the community and congregation of the church.
