In Port Marianne, the new contemporary area in Montpellier, France, is the RBC Design Centre, designed by Jean Nouvel. The nine level 2.000 sqm. store is the fifth of its type to open in France since its start up by Franck Argentina of B & B Italia.

The simple box shape of the grey transparent structure has a linear facade which commands, Create, Dream, Read, Cook, Light, Live, events which usually take place in a home. On entering the centre, a central atrium divides the interior into two halves, and bridges cross from one side to the other, connecting the upper floors.
