Located on a premium site in a residential area, House in Monasterios is a design project for the Valencia based practice of Ramon Esteve. Inspired by the surrounding landscape, the stone clad structure is formed by a series of  connecting volumes of varying heights, with strong defining walls, joined by floor to ceiling transparences.

The configuration of geometric volumes conceal a series of intricate courtyards, semi covered protected spaces accessible from each room through glass panels with removable wooden shutters. The decked interior spaces provide respite from the winter winds and shade from the burning summer sun.

In the interior, a glass enclosed lobby leads through the courtyard into spaces furnished in a minimalistic fashion, an environment of neutrality in which to take advantage of the uninterrupted views of the nearby hills and coastline. The infinity pool and deck, a signature design feature of the architect, provides every opportunity for a blissful vacation experience and outdoor dining on balmy summer evenings in this well designed country residence
