Department of Architecture is behind the innovative and dynamic design of the common areas and linkage spaces of the 1650m2 luxury Hilton Hotel, located in Pattaya, Thailand. These areas include the 1st Floor Lobby, the Main Lobby on the 17th Floor, the “Drift” Bar, the “Edge” Restaurant and the “Flare” Fine Dining, whose extraordinary design has given a new, edgy character to the hotel.

Occupying the 17th floor, the “Drift” Bar and Lobby are characterized by the dynamic wave lines of the fabric ceiling installation leading the visitors towards the seafront view. This outstanding design intervention is transformed, during the night, into a spectacular luminous centerpiece, through the strip lighting accents hanging from the ceiling. The bar is strategically placed linearly along the edge of the building, so as to make the most of its amazing ocean views. Organic shaped daybeds emerge from the wooden backdrop wall, with a full wall mirror doubling the visual length of the space.
The “Edge” Restaurant consists of an 8m high ceiling with uninterrupted 360 degree views, decorated with natural materials and colors, resembling an underwater scenery with gorgonian membranes and translucent ocean creatures.

The outdoor landscaping has been designed by Tron and consists of beautiful reflecting ponds and infinity pools, surrounded by scattered lounge beds; the perfect scenery to enjoy a cocktail.
